Buried Alive

Buried Alive is my first feature, which I both wrote and directed. From conception to finished project, it took two years: filming on weekends when I could get the cast and crew together. The cast are pretty much everyone I've worked with as a BBC producer. They kindly agreed to work for free, which shows you should always read the small print in contracts. It was made for a laughably small sum of £3,800.

So far the film has not been picked up for theatrical or DVD release. It was always intended as a calling card for future projects, to gain experience in writing and directing and for the actors to get more screen time. But it has been seen by various well-known industry professionals and here's what they said about it:

“It is really, really good... a truly remarkable achievement”
Richard Holmes (producer Shooting Fish, Waking Ned)

“Very funny”
Paul Mayhew-Archer (co-writer Vicar of Dibley)

“Good film, well made... great cast”
Andrew Collins (writer and broadcaster)

“A great achievement on such a shoestring”
Sophie Clarke-Jervoise (BBC Head of Comedy 2000 - 2004)

I am currently working on a new feature film idea, for which I will actively seeking finance in the coming months. Watch this space. You can also some bits of the film below. It's divided into 5-8 minute chunks, hope you enjoy it:
